All-Ireland Mathematics champions

The High School has been recognized as the IMTA All-Ireland national champions in Mathematics for the second consecutive year.  The final which was held at NUI Galway on Saturday 8th March was once again a very tight affair - a battle of mathematical minds between the thirteen winners and runners-up of the regional competitions across the country.  The questions are based loosely on the Higher Level Leaving Certificate Mathematics syllabus with enormous time pressure in each round adding to the challenge.  We should like to offer our warmest congratulations to members of the HSD team who were once again awarded the George Boole trophy in recognition of the outstanding achievement of an outright victory in the competition.
