East Leinster athletics winners
The High School enjoyed unprecedented success in a wide range of events at the East Leinster Athletics Championship bringing home a total of 8 Gold, 2 Silver, and 9 Bronze medals from Irishtown Stadium to HSD.
The medal winners were as follows:
Bronze
Ella Schmidt (3R) won Bronze in the 75 metre hurdle competition; Claudia Johnston (2C) won Bronze in the 100 and 200 metre competitions, respectively; Roseanne McCullough (1J) won Bronze in the Junior Girls' 800 metre competition; Alex Aspil (1RN), Sean Og Barnes (1W), James Campion (1RL), and Harry O'Donnell (1F) won Bronze in 4 x 100 metre Minor Boy's relay competition; and Lucy Colman-Black (2R) won Bronze in the Junior Girls' Javelin competition.
Silver
Megan O'Brien (3R) won Silver in the Intermediate Girls' High Jump competition and Caoimhe Shanley-Mee (2C) won Silver in the Junior Girls' Javelin competition.
Gold
Ruby Keating Levins (3MC), Megan O'Brien (3R), Aela O'Flynn (3W), and Ella Schmidt (3R) won Gold in the Under 16 4 x 300 metre relay competition; Ryan Baird (3C) won Gold in the Discus and Shot Putt competitions, respectively; Ruby Keating Levins (3MC) won Gold in the Shot Putt competition; and Ella Schmidt (3R) won Gold in the Intermediate Girls' Long Jump competition.
