Activity Overview

Each Easter since 2007, a team of 21 students and teachers from The High School has travelled with Habitat for Humanity to build homes for families in developing countries.

Habitat for Humanity’s vision is to see “A world where everyone has a decent place to live”. For more information on Habitat for Humanity, click 'here'.

This is a life-changing and challenging opportunity for 16 students from Transition Year and form five. Students experience a truly different world, and help to make a real difference to the lives of a local family. Each student must raise funds through table-quizzes, race nights, bag packs etc. Every year, new friendships are formed through shared experiences, and when they graduate from the school, students often look back on a Habitat trip as one of the highlights of their time at The High School.
