Transition Year sold over €6,000 worth of Fair Trade goods on Saturday 29 November. It was a great day. Thank you to all who helped and supported the event.

Concern Christmas Fast

National Poetry Day

Poetry Day was marked in the library with displays and a poetry competition. Truly amazed by the masses of outstanding poems, we felt the need to appoint an independent judge, an Oxford English graduate - no less! Congratulations to all entrants. Thanks to Mrs King and the Library Committee for all of their hard work and thanks also to everyone who entered.  Well done to the winners!

One of the Transition Year Business Enterprise classes is marketing customised mugs at senior lunch on Thursday and on Wednesday morning.

Trinity College Open Day

Please note that only Form 6 pupils who have already signed up may attend the open day during school hours on Wednesday 10 December. Normal classes will continue for other pupils in Form 6. The usual school regulations apply to anybody attending the Open Day.

In girls hockey the Junior B drew 2-2with St Andrew's in the league. In boys hockey the Juniors beat Kilkenny 2-1. In girls basketball the Under 16 beat Loreto Dalkey and the Under 19 beat Rockford.

Showjumping

Alanna Kavanagh in the Inter Schools competition at Killossery, where she achieved 5th place in a field of 130, on her pony "Moonlight Man". Well done Alanna!
