Seniors draw with St Andrew's

It was the Leinster hockey cup quarter final. After a close win in an exciting clash against St Columba's, our cup winning dreams were still alive. We were up against a strong St Andrew's team whom we were determined to beat. An early goal from Valerie Sexton gave us a lead but it wasn't long before St Andrew's equalised at 1-1. The second half started with our opponents scoring from a short corner. A great strike on goal followed and was saved by Ellen O'Cleirigh and a penalty flick was awarded. Tensions were high but fortunately St Andrew's missed and our determination grew again. With two minutes to go in the match we scored from a short corner, leaving the score 2-2 after an exciting 60 minutes.
St Andrew's scored again in the first half of extra time and we equalised to make it 3-3 at full time, with a replay at St Andrew's. Many thanks to all who came to support!

1st XV vs Clongowes

The photographs on this page are from the cup clash between the 1st XV and Clongowes last Monday at Naas RFC. The superior weight in the Clongowes pack dictated the nature of most of this match, with our opposition skilfully using that advantage to score four tries. Alan O'Keeffe scored one penalty for High School.

Feed the Pig

Thank you to everyone who donated to the "Feed the Pig" fund for Barnardos. This year €300.17 was raised for Barnardos, which is a charity that works with children and their families all over Ireland. Thanks again.

Results - well done!
Congratulations to all the girls hockey teams who have made it through their section of the league. The Minor B and Minor C teams have both reached the pre quarter finals. The Junior B has reached the quarter finals, the Senior II has one play off vs Alexandra to be played and the Sen III has also made it to the quarter finals. The Junior A had a great win over Muckross on Saturday in their cup match and are now in the quarter finals of the Junior A cup.
