Fair Trade Fair on Saturday

The annual fair run by Transition Year took place on Saturday December 2 from 10.00 a.m. to 2.30 p.m. Many goods and goodies were on sale and the home made cakes and biscuits were delicious! Turnover was over €6,000. Well done to all concerned!
Among other things, the Fair Trade mark guarantees that craftsmen and producers have been paid a fair price for their goods and that they have worked in conditions that are safe. For more information on Fair Trade, see www.fairtrade.ie

Carol service

The annual High School carol service, with choir and orchestra, will take place at Zion Parish Church by kind permission at 8.00 p.m. on Monday 11 December. Refreshments in the school afterwards for those who attend the service. All welcome.

TCD Exhibition winners

Congratulations to Shane Sargeant, Ruth Roseingrave, Frank Moriarty, Megan Leonard Kane, Mengxi Hu, Tim Harris and Christopher Blair on winning Entrance Exhibitions into TCD, (pictured right at the TCD presentation ceremony with Dr C. Whitford, their Year Head).

Well done also to Claudine Murphy who won a sports scholarship into TCD.

Christmas trees on sale

Rathfarnham Scouts, many of them High School pupils, are fundraising by selling Christmas trees at the Memorial Hall, Rathfarnham Road junction with Bushy Park Road, December 1st to 23rd, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days a week.
