Parents - did you receive a text message from us
last Friday?
The SMS text system is now fully
operational. It will be used for emergency messages and to check pupil
absence. In the case of pupil absence, parents are still requested to
telephone the school office on the morning of the first day of absence.
In the event that we do not hear from you texts will be sent to the
mobiles of both parents/guardians where applicable, so parents/guardians
will need to liaise with each other about who contacts the school office
to explain the pupil absence. You will not be able to reply to the
texts. For security reasons, the originating number of the text will be
the same as on the test message last Friday. The school will accept no
responsibility for misdelivery. If you did not receive a test message
from us last Friday, please write to the office or e-mail us the correct
number(s).
Old mobile phones?

Please continue to bring in any old
mobile phones you may have, in aid of the Habitat for Humanity house
building team travelling to Zambia at Easter. Thanks to all those who
have donated so far. Maoliosa Nugent (4th year)

Minor C league semi-final
This match against Mt Anville was a
tightly fought battle. Despite their best efforts the team lost 2-0 to a
strongly offensive team. Rebekah Donnelly (captain), heading the backs,
worked hard to regain possession in the first half where Mt Anville
scored two goals. Marianne McClafferty successfully managed many saves.
The second half, however, was a much closer game. Romy Leitch, Sara
Buttanshaw and Ciara Dowling, among others, showed excellent teamwork
and managed frequently to drive the ball into the opposition circle.
Although this is a disappointing end to the season, the Minor C have had
a good year and have deserved all of their successes.
Photos are overleaf.
