Basketball winners!
On Wednesday 28 January we travelled to
Greystones to play our basketball senior league final against St
Columba's. It was a tough match but we proved to be the better team and
came out winners by 30 to 18. Special thanks to Mrs Kavanagh, our coach,
and to all the supporters who came to watch.
Congratulations also to the Cadets who beat St Andrew's 25-18 in the
final.

Senior girls hockey win 2nd round of Leinster cup
On Thursday 29 January, the 1st XI played
Our lady's Terenure in the second round of the Leinster senior cup.
Throughout the first half, both teams worked hard and despite a few
chances the match remained scoreless at half time. In the first minute
of the second half we won a short corner which led to a well deserved
goal scored by Aimee Jones O'Connor. After this confidence boost, the
whole team's play improved and our midfield began to dominate. A
brilliant series of passes led to Aimee's second goal and it wasn't long
before she completed her hat trick. Some amazing skills from our captain
Ali Meeke resulted in another short corner which Eva Nugent converted
with an excellent strike on goal. The final score was 4-0 and we were
delighted to progress to the quarter finals which will take place on
Thursday against St Andrew's.

High School vs Argentina
On Wednesday 28 January, a mixed squad of
junior and senior girls represented the school against a touring
Argentinian team. We got off to a good start by scoring two goals in the
first half, even against a very strong Argentinian back line. A third
goal came in the second half for High School so the match ended 3-0.
After the match we had the chance to meet and get to know the
Argentinian girls. Some people even got to test their Spanish! At the
end of the afternoon we presented each other with a plaque to remember
the day. We would like to thank everyone for organising a very enjoyable
day.
