The Rainbow's End
Congratulations to all of the cast,
production crew and organisers of the junior drama production last week
on a really successful show! The actors obviously enjoyed the play which
they had written under the direction of Leslie Lalor. The performances
were confident as the intricate plot and the scenes based on puns and
mistaken identity gradually unfolded and brought the play to its
inevitable climax. The addition of singing and dancing brought variety
and colourful interest to the show, with beautiful costumes and an
artistic background adding greatly to our enjoyment in the audience.
Well done! |

Science trip to London
On Friday March 23 we went over to London
to compete in the Royal Society of Chemistry "Top of the Bench"
competition. On our first day, we visited the Science Museum and the
Natural History Museum. In the evening we also went to see a film.
The science competition was on the second day. There were three
activities we had to do which involved both team work and individual
work. 33 other schools were competing and were mainly from England. We
did not get placed, but it was an interesting and fun filled day. We
would like to thank Dr Whitford for taking us to London!

Treaty of Rome celebrations
On Thursday 29 March, all of 1W went to
the library during Geography class. Mrs King explained that it was the
50th anniversary of the Treaty of Rome. She told us that she and Mr Swan
had been invited to the celebrations and had also been given a piece of
the 50th anniversary cake. We were given balloons, hats and flags and
then posed for many photos! We also had a piece of celebration cake. On
behalf of the class I would like to thank Mr Swan and Mrs King for a
very enjoyable class.
