JCT cup win against Naas

This cup game against Naas CBS was played last Monday at North Kildare RFC in dreadful conditions. Both teams did their best to play fast rugby but the wind was hampering back play. The only score of the first half came from a clever penalty move which saw No 8 Ross Hanan cross for the try which was excellently converted by centre David Kenny.

The second half saw Naas gain the benefit of the wind but it was The High School team who put on a lot of pressure without finding that elusive score which would have put the result beyond doubt. Impressive performances came from Ross Hanan, Gareth Austen, Gavin Sadlier, Colin Sheridan and Sean Tevlin.

Well done to the team and coaches Mr J. Dolan, Mr B. McNamara and Mr A. Hilliard, and thanks to all who came out to support the team on such a terrible day!

Guide dogs for the blind fundraising

Over the last couple of months we have been selling Christmas cards, calendars and badges in aid of the Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind. We managed to raise €920, almost €300 more than last year! We'd like to thank everyone who bought any of the items, and Ms Graham for helping us organise it.

Thanks!

Aicha Aboudinar and Deirdre McClean

Your body needs a moderate amount of salt which it gains naturally from a balanced diet. Processed and snack foods contain huge amounts of salt and are bad for you if you eat them often.
