Buy a brick and build a house!
A group of 4th and 5th year students are
going to Romania to build a house for an impoverished or homeless family
with Habitat for Humanity (www.habitatireland.ie). As part of our
fundraising we are selling bricks, roofs, doors and windows as
advertising space. We have "built" a row of six houses which is
displayed in the Reynolds Hall. Businesses, individuals or form groups
can buy a brick for €100, a window for €500, a door for €1,000 or a roof
for €2,500 and their name or company will be advertised in the space
bought. Please make cheques payable to "Habitat for Humanity" and send
them to Ms V. Carson at The High School.

Write for the newsletter
You are welcome to write short articles
for the newsletter about anything which has a connection with the
school, e.g. your sports matches, club activities, a personal
achievement, an account of an outing, upcoming events, etc. If you
include a photograph or two, even better! The best way to send in
material is by e-mail to office@highschooldublin.com because then we
don't have to retype it, but we will accept handwritten or typed
articles left in the newsletter box outside the office any time or day
before 10.00 a.m. on a Monday morning, which is our deadline. |
Cartoon competition
We are restarting our cartoon
competition. Cartoons should be drawn in black or colour on plain white
paper at about the width of this paragraph. Each entry published will
win a prize of €7. They must be your own original work but they do not
have to have a school theme.
