Transition Year Fair Trade Fair

The very popular and successful annual High School Fair Trade Christmas Fair takes place in the Reynolds Hall on Saturday 3 December 2005 starting at 10.00 a.m. until 3.00 p.m. There will be a chance to buy all sorts of Fair Trade products and gift cards, from Christmas decorations to chocolate to goats to jewellry to household goods to bees and much more. Fair Trade tea, coffee and homemade biscuits will be served throughout the Fair. Last year we sold over €6,000 worth of goods - can we beat that this year?

Every year the organising committee identifies students of high mathematical ability to be invited to attend special training and to compete in the olympiad. Breast Cancer Awareness Week

We are delighted to say that this year we raised over €500. Every year we work hard selling badges and ribbons and this year we had the introduction of wrist bands and trolley coins. All the money raised is passed to the worthy cause of research on breast cancer.
We would like to thank Ms Graham for once again supporting this admirable cause and the new 1st year students who were taken on board. Thank you to everyone who took part and to everyone for supporting us again!

Operation Christmas Child

We went around to all the classes explaining what the project is about and what they could do to help. This mainly was to fill shoe boxes with small presents for underprivileged children in foreign countries. We were delighted to receive 150 boxes and a selection of students dropped these to the main Christmas Child depot in Sandyford. They were shown how to check the boxes and in any fillers if necessary. Thanks to to all those who participated!
