Spectacular Junior Cert results - well done!
The Junior Certificate results this year
are among the best we have had in the school. Well done to students
currently in Transition Year and to their teachers! In considering your
own examination results, it is important to remember that your
performance measured against your own potential and expectations is what
matters, not what other people in your class achieved. In other words,
did you do the work and achieve as well as could be expected for your
own abilities?
In the examination, grade C or better (higher level) was obtained in 86%
of the papers taken at higher level and in 72% of all papers taken (the
most important statistic), compared with 78% and 66% in 2008. Grade E or
less was obtained on 1.8% of all papers.
