Girls basketball
The start of the league produced two very
exciting games for pupils of Forms 1 and 2 against Muckross. Trailing
17-8 going into the last quarter, High School made a fantastic comeback,
thanks mainly to Leanne McDonnell with a game tally of 10 points and
Judith Harrington who snatched the winning basket in the dying seconds,
18-17.
The Form 2 game was equally exciting, with High School staging a
comeback to bring the game level at full time, mainly due to great play
by Eve Roseingrave who scored 11 points. In extra time Leanne McDonnell
produced the winning basket to give us a deserved victory 25-23. |
