Excellent exam results - well done!

The Leaving Certificate results this year are again outstanding and rank among the best we have had in the school. The Junior Certificate analysis is not yet complete.

In the Leaving Certificate Examination, 2007, 116 pupils presented 818 papers in 21 subjects. 575 papers were taken at higher level and grade C or better was obtained in 82% of these. Grade E or less was obtained on 2% of all papers. The percentage of grade C or better on higher papers as a percentage of the grand total of all papers was 58%. All of those indicators amount to an excellent performance so well done to staff and students!

Initiative awards

These are awarded at the Prize Distribution and are open to pupils of Forms 3 to 6. They are awarded to up to 3 students who have shown initiative, organisational ability or administrative ability in starting or promoting a school activity.

To be eligible for a prize a student must be nominated in writing by two other students with a short statement of the reasons for the nomination. Please give nominations to Ms Saville (A10).
