Ski Trip 2006-07

A ski trip is being arranged for the Christmas holiday period next year, from 28 December 2006 to 4 January 2007. The trip will again be to the Loon Resort in New Hampshire, USA, which has been very enjoyable with good skiing and excellent facilities. The booking must be confirmed before the end of May so deposits must be paid by 31 May. For further information, please see the noticeboard in the Technical building or speak to Mr Cryan or Ms Toolan.
The pictures are from the trip which took place this year at Easter.

High School Amnesty group

Amnesty is currently running a campaign which aims to control the arms trade. The arms trade is a global problem; around 22 billion US dollars per year is spent by countries in Africa, Asia, the Middle East and Latin America. Only half of that figure is needed to send every primary school aged child to school worldwide!
Amnesty hopes that states will tighten their control on the movement of arms in and out of their country, their availability, their sale and the use of arms based on international human rights and humanitarian law. Amnesty also hopes that the UN will adopt an international arms trade treaty by 2006.
An estimated 500,000 people are killed every year by small arms alone - that's one person every minute, due to the atrocities of the arms trade.
The High School Amnesty group supports the control of arms campaign. You can help. Take part in the million faces campaign and make a difference! Contact Ms Hutchinson-Edgar in A22 for more details.
