Academic excellence
Congratulations to Shane Sargent, Ruth
Roseingrave, Frank Moriarty, Megan Leonard Kane, Mengxi Hu, Tim Harris
and Christopher Blair on being awarded Entrance Exhibitions into Trinity
College, Dublin, based on the excellence of their Leaving Certificate
results. This is the highest number of awards ever from the school in
one year. We have not yet heard from other universities and colleges
with regard to scholarships.
Also, well done to Nicholas Nash and Andrew Rankin, past pupils, who
have graduated with First Class degrees and have both been awarded the
Gold Medal in their courses. |

Record intake from Fun Run
The sponsorship money for the Simon
Community Fun Run has been collected and the total is €5759.38. This is
a terrific total and a schools record. All those who entered the race
and collected money deserve great credit for their efforts and a big
thank you to all those pupils, parents, friends and teachers who
sponsored the runners. There were hundreds of contributions from the
pupils and they helped enormously in raising such a large amount of
money. Well done everybody!
