Forty Foot Charity Swim

are the staff and students who undertook the
Forty Foot sponsored swim at the end of last term to raise funds for St
Luke's Cancer Hospital. Well done to all concerned - the final tally
will reach almost €3,000!
Library art competition - Form 1, 2
The competition took place just before
Christmas and, with a level of creativity rarely seen before, judging
must have been difficult. Congratulations to our
winners, pictured above right. Their pictures are to the right.
Swimming gold
The Leinster senior schools swimming gala
was held on Sunday 11 January at the National Aquatic Centre. The High
School was represented by Anne Marie Finn & Eva Barrett (Form 1), Dayna
Clegg (Form 2), John Martin & Niamh Murphy (Form 3). All 5 swimmers
competed very well making finals and personal best times. The medal
winners were Niamh Murphy gold 100m freestyle (intermediate level) &
Dayna Clegg gold 100m freestyle, bronze 100m backstroke (junior level) &
silver 400m freestyle (open event). We wish all the swimmers every
success in the Irish senior schools finals later this month and thank
the Parents' Association for their support.
Orchestra performs at Botanic Gardens
The orchestra was invited to perform at
the National Botanic Gardens before Christmas. There are two low

January staff meeting
This meeting has been postponed until
Tuesday 20 January when school will close at 2.35 p.m. There will be no
