1st XI go out to St Andrew's
Despite a great show of commitment and
energy, the senior girls hockey team were beaten 2-0 by St Andrew's
College in their replay of the quarter-final of the Leinster Cup which
was played at Booterstown last week, having drawn the original match at
High School 3-3. Photos are from the match. |

French play
On Monday 29 January, the school was
visited by a French theatre group who performed a very interesting play
"Le Porte-bonheur". Some of the students in our school participated
voluntarily with great enthusiasm and some very amusing costumes! The
play was a romantic comedy with a touch of magic and was a good way to
learn some more French. The four actors conveyed the plot very well,
(but what was with the fireman?) and it was enjoyed by everyone. Thanks
to all the teachers who organised it.

Lundi dernier, un groupe de thèâtre est venu à La High School. Trois
acteurs et une actrice une ont donné pièce Fransoise. Il s’agissart d’un
groupe d’amis qui veulent aller en Irlande pour voir un match de rugby
entre l’Irlande er la France, mais tout d’abord il faut qu’ils gagnent
un peu d’argent. Ils ne peuvent pas décider comment le faire. Finalement,
ils décident de s’inscrire àun concours de talent qui offer aux gagnants
une grosse somme d’argent. La pièce était très agréable et quelques
élèves ont participé à la danse et ont joué des roles. Je voudrais
remercier les actors pour un spectacle chouette, et les profs qui l’ont
organize.
