Calendar error

Please note that there is an error on the school calendar which was published in August. The school will close at 1.15 p.m. on Wednesday 16 March and reopens at 8.55 a.m. on Monday 21 March. In other words, we will be closed for St Patrick's Day (Thursday) and the next day (Friday), not reopening on Friday as stated in the calendar.

Simon Community fun run

The Simon Community, which is an organisation which works with homeless people, is holding its annual fund-raising fun run in the Phoenix Park on Sunday 10 October at 2.30. If there are any pupils who would like to participate in the run they can collect entry forms and sponsorship forms from Mr McClure in A4 before the end of the week.

The Erasmian & Diocesan Times

We would like to thank the many people who have contacted the school to congratulate the team of people who produced the yearbook and we join in the congratulations for such a superb production!

The team consisted of Isabel Baker (Editor), Niam Carroll, Laura Houston, Sam Meredith, Rebecca Murray, Craig Rankin, Pia Ward, Mr B. McNamara (production coordinator) and Mr A. Phelan (design). Well done!

30 year celebrations of amalgamated schools

The Past Pupils Union organised a very successful weekend of celebrations of 30 years of the amalgamated school recently. A dinner, a hockey match, a service in the school and school tours took place.

Lost property

The lost property room on the B corridor is open on Tuesday mornings at 8.40 a.m. and items of lost property can be reclaimed at that time. It is important that all items of property (e.g. articles of clothing, footwear, books, sports gear etc) are clearly and permanently marked with the owner's name. Mr McClure (A4) is now in charge of lost property.

There will be a meeting of the council at 8.20 a.m. on Thursday morning in A3.

Results - well done!

In girls hockey, 2nd XI, 3rd XI, Junior B won against Wesley. 1st XI drew with Beaufort.

In rugby, 2nd XV beat Gonzaga 28-24, Under 16 beat Gonzaga 31-0 and Under 14a team drew 5-5 with Gonzaga.
