When the day finally came, nerves were high and we
were all determined to win! The match started, and slowly we got into
the game. With some excellent shots from our forwards and mid-fielders,
and brilliant saves from our goalie, Eve Roseingrave, there still wasn’t
any score at half-time.
We came back into the second half of the match even
more determined, and finally we scored! It was from brilliant play, from
passing up the line into the circle to win a short corner. The ball was
pushed out to Susan McRann who took a shot and the ball was in the back
of the net! We were delighted, but we had to keep our concentration –
and with this came another goal! Scored by Kate Ó Marcaigh. The final
score was 2-nil to High School.
On behalf of the team I would like to thank Ms Jones
for coaching us this year, and to Mr Fitzpatrick and Ms Levis for all
their help during the year. Well done to all the players – you were all
