Senior hockey cup win - well done!

The Ist XI girls hockey team played Cluny in the first round of the Leinster Schools Cup last Tuesday. We began the match confident that we would continue to the next round and, despite a scoreless first twenty minutes, we soon were on top with a goal scored by Valerie Sexton. We managed to make the scoreline 4-0 by half time with goals from Judy Kelleher, Maoliosa Nugent and Ruth Senior. The final score was 6-0 (Ali Meeke and Maoliosa Nugent). We will face King's Hospital in the second round on Wednesday at home.

SCT rugby cup match vs Templeogue College - well done!

The first round of the Vinnie Murray Cup was played in the UCD Bowl. The conditions were not great for a classic encounter with High School having to play against the elements for the first half. Keeping the score to 3-3 going into the second half, we were confident that we could impose our game plan. Indeed success was found against a resolute Templeogue defense, with Colin Sheridan kicking 2 difficult penalties, a conversion to a Steven Carter try and a drop goal. Our thanks go to our great travelling support and to UCD for organising such a well run event.
