The staff of the school organise many
educational and field trips. Those undertaken in a typical year might include a tour of
Paris for senior pupils with language classes provided, a tour to Poland for junior
pupils, a ski trip to New Hampshire, a Geography and Biology trip to the Burren, a Gaisce
President's award trip to Kerry, Irish department trips to Kerry and the
Aran Islands, caving trips to a number of locations, English department
trips to drama productions, President's Award
hill-walking excursions,
rugby and hockey tours to Britain and within Ireland, a Biology trip to Carbury bog, a
Science trip to the Armagh Planetarium, Transition Year trips to
Cultra Folk Museum, the Royal
Hospital Kilmainham, Kilmainham Gaol, the National Art Gallery, the Abbey Theatre, the
National Museum, the birth place of G.B. Shaw, the LE Emer, and the ENFO Environmental
Information Centre. These destinations vary from year to
year.
